How To Find Your Fans On Facebook!

I was asked recently where you could find a list of people who are fans of your Facebook page, simple you might think!

It takes a few clicks, you can see this from your profile or when logged in as your Facebook page.

1. Click the link "like this" which is shown under the number of fans.

2. You will be taken to your Insights section, look for the small "see likes" link on the right hand side where it says "People Who Like Your Page (Demographics and Location" Read more »

Facebook, Spring Clean!

Spring is in the air and that often gives us the urge to have a cleaning session, why not with Facebook too!

Spring clean Facebook

Have you been meaning to have a clear out of friends, or stop those applications running that you no longer use?

Here’s a few quick tips on how to have a tidy up on your Facebook profile / page.

Friends

Have you agreed to a “friend” but now you’re not so sure?

If you have friends you’d rather not be connected to any longer then find their profile page in Facebook, at the bottom right hand side there is an “unfriend” link to remove them. Alternatively you can block them by selecting “report/block this person” in the same section as the unfriend link.

The difference is that you will be removed from their friend list if you unfriend them, if you block them you remain a friend but your status updates aren’t visible to them. The friend is not notified of the change in either situation.

Has someone “liked” your page that you would like to remove? Read more »

Website Design – Car Buyers Formula

Glen is our oldest blogger to date!

At the age of 77 he decided it was time to set up his own blogging website to share his knowledge of the car trade in the United States.

Glen loves to write, previously he would write his thoughts in a notebook, now he creates a blog post. He’s also purchased a Flip video so that he can record film, share them on You Tube and upload them to his website.

Our brief was to create a blog website in red and blue including pages for new & used cars, finance, trade ins, negotiating techniques and a fun car trivia section.

Aweber was also added so that Glen could create a mailing list, all new subscribers receive Read more »

Website Design – Daivoon

Michi approached us as a friend was building a WordPress website for their diving company Daivoon based in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote. Something that started six months ago was not progressing well and the decision was made to scrap the existing website for a new one.

Daivoon_

Our instructions were that the theme should be black and yellow to complement the Daivoon logo, simple design but in three languages that interchange easily.

There aren’t many bespoke black and yellow themes, we selected burnt rubber as the best, due to the pale background so that the type was easier to read.

This was our first trilingual website, once the languages (English, Spanish & German) were set up it was just a case of three times the data entry. The old site had the wording in English and German, the Spanish still required some translation but should be completed soon.

The website has a home page which displays their current special offer, Read more »

How Can I Get More Facebook Page Fans?

One of the frustrations of owning a Facebook page rather than a profile is that you can’t request a friend, people have to “like” your page. This can make growing your fans a very slow process.

I am frequently asked “How can I get more Facebook page fans?”

Firstly, if you have already upgraded your page, you can now be your page to comment on other pages which helps get your page noticed. You can also “like” other pages.

When you are on your page, there is a “suggest to friends” link on the top right – this takes you to your friends (your profile) where you can suggest they connect with your page. One of the ways to grow your page is to request friendships with people and businesses that are associated to your page and then suggest they like it. So you are growing your page through your own profile.

Promote_Your_Page

The next stage is to edit your page, here on the left hand side menu is an option for “marketing”.

I’m going to ignore the advertise option for the time being, let’s look at the free ways of expanding your page first Read more »

Website Design – Top Catz Dance

Marlene Pierce at Lanzarote dance school Top Catz Dance had an existing website but it was an early web design and contained extremely out of date content that could no longer be updated.

Ideally the new website was to be in purple and green, the new content was to have less focus on the shows, include the various weekly dance classes and also allow Marlene to access easily to add new content such as their regular dance performances at local events in Lanzarote.

Old site (red) new site (purple & green):

The first job was to try and save the content from the old website, some of these photos couldn’t be replaced as the originals were no longer available. Once secure, the old site was taken down and work began on the new design.

I found one or two purple and green themes but they were flower based and not suitable for Read more »
