Social Media Seminars Marbella with CCG Spain

We were invited by a firm of accountants in Marbella to speak to their clients about blogging as a lead generation tool. CCG Spain hold regular business briefings for their clients on a wide range of topics, as part of their strategy of adding value to their customer’s businesses.

Laura StanbridgeWe ran two sessions in the Gran Melia Don Pepe hotel, and both were sold out. We were joined by a locally based social media consultant, Nicola Erlich, who talked about Facebook and Twitter, and also by Laura Stanbridge, owner of CCG, who talked about her own experiences with Linkedin.

The delegates were an interesting cross section of the Spanish and ex-pat community in the Costa del Sol, and were keen to understand the new media and how to get the best possible return for an investment in it. We had both a formal and informal Q and A session during and after each event, and we were really impressed at the depth of questions asked.

We  focused on telling the story of Manuel the palm tree man, who built his small business into a big one simply by writing a blog and using it as a marketing platform to attract a huge number of potential clients. Couching the story in real small business terms went down well, enabling everyone to understand practically how a simple blog can reach places a conventional website can’t.Mike
