Michi approached us as a friend was building a WordPress website for their diving company Daivoon based in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote. Something that started six months ago was not progressing well and the decision was made to scrap the existing website for a new one.
Our instructions were that the theme should be black and yellow to complement the Daivoon logo, simple design but in three languages that interchange easily.
There aren’t many bespoke black and yellow themes, we selected burnt rubber as the best, due to the pale background so that the type was easier to read.
This was our first trilingual website, once the languages (English, Spanish & German) were set up it was just a case of three times the data entry. The old site had the wording in English and German, the Spanish still required some translation but should be completed soon.
The website has a home page which displays their current special offer, then pages about the team, the dive centre, diving, price list, partner, contact details, links page and photo albums.
No comments or blog page was required, just a link to their Facebook fan page.
Michi is good with computers and has taken a crash course in Drupal to keep adding more features to her website, proving how adaptable and user friendly this platform is to work with. Partner Goetz was not so keen on the black and yellow theme so the website now has a new look in blue and white!
